VISON VISU

Vison Visu @ Jose Luis Bongore 2

Whether in jazz or traditional folk music, the saxophone-accordion combination has long been familiar to our ears. Janick Martin and Robin Fincker discovered each other in Vincent Courtois's quintet Finis Terrae and quickly formed a clear bond.
Eager for melodies, they delve deep into them, whether they are from today or another era, thwarting conventional phrasing. Playing with fractures and melismas, grooves and improvisations, the duo with their ringing timbres exchange with passion, intensity, and frenzy.
An intimate and compelling face-to-face.

"Les deux hommes s'assirent vison-visu. Pierrot eut vaguement l'impression d'avoir déjà rencontré ce type-là quelque part"  Raymond Queneau, Pierrot, 1942
